About the Creators
Woman's Book of Changes™ is the
culmination of a soulful two year journey
between partners, Felice Willat and Ilene
Segalove.
Co-founder of Day Runner, Inc. and Tools
With Heart, Felice
Willat developed Woman's Book of Changes™
to help women discover their inner wisdom,
creativity and purpose, especially during
times of change.
The author of Woman's Book of Changes™
is Ilene Segalove,
a widely published multimedia artist and
journalist whose work has been exhibited
at major museums and galleries around
the country.

This book is designed to hold all the
important conversations a woman has with
herself about what really matters. I confess,
I've been a non-journaler most of my life.
Oh, I've tried the blank book, but I've
got this idea they're meant to stay blank.
I just don't like how they feel in my
hands or on my lap. They have sharp edges
and hard bindings. They always make me
feel unwelcome.
When brewing up the idea of Woman's Book
of Changes™, I found myself searching
for inspiration. Underneath a collection
of scarves from the sixties, I retrieved
the obscure On Beyond Zebra by
Dr. Seuss. It was given to me by my second–grade
teacher. It's the story of an alphabet
that exists beyond the letter Z. At seven
years old, the thought of an alphabet
of my own imagination made the hairs on
my neck stand up. (Always a good sign!)
Hopefully, Woman's Book of Changes™
will invoke that kind of experience...
personal expression and creative possibilities
beyond the norm.

Felice
I've gone through changes. They haven't
always been easy. I've experienced the
highs of birthing a successful company,
three wonderful daughters, and many passionate
ideas and dreams. I've also pulled myself
through financial challenges, two marriages,
and personal self - doubt. A traveler
of sorts, I surge along life's glorious
and tumultuous path.
At each turn, I grow, learning to learn
from myself. I'm hoping the year ahead
is a time when women "return to themselves"
- a much deserved time for reflection,
a time for each of you to share in saying,
"wait a minute... I'm tired of the
fast track. I want to check back in, with
me". And the best way I know to find
out who you are is through journaling.
May the Woman's Book of Changes™
be a welcome doorway, one you want to
enter. May it be the opportunity to be
with yourself, on your own terms, in your
own time.
